On Tuesday 30th January, four boys and four girls from P6 and P7 who play for St Brigid’s and attend St Bride’s P.S. spent the morning enthralling a hall filled with enthusiastic pupils by displaying all the skills of Gaelic Games, in an exhibition of Gaelic football, hurling and camogie in the primary school hall.
Thanks to all the coaches who attended – including the ever-present Frank McGurk! – and of course to all the teachers of St Bride’s – especially Mrs Quinn, Ms Joyce and Mr Cunningham – for their assistance.
Hopefully some of the kids who enjoyed the exhibition of skills will come along to Fun Sunday, which starts back this weekend for all kids of primary school age and which is totally open to anyone who wants to give the club a try for a few weeks before deciding whether to join or not.
Full details of Fun Sunday dates and venues can be found via this link. It would be great to see a few new faces there!
Have a happy St Brigid’s Day!
