In order to modernize and rejuvenate hurling at all levels in Antrim, at U–12 level this year the South Antrim Hurling development committee are introducing blitzes instead of the traditional league format throughout the year. In effect blitzes will be held at the end of each month from March onwards and there will be conditioned rules thereby permitting as many players as possible to play. In all throughout the year, each club will get a minimum of 24 games at U-12 level.

Games will take place on Sunday morning at venues throughout Belfast and the blitz will commence at 10am and finish at 1pm. St. Brigids U-12 hurlers will be entering a team in the 11 a side competition.

Ciaran Rogan is co-ordinating the U-12 team this year and can be contacted at the following numbers:

Don’t forget training for P4/P5/P6 & P7 continues at the PEC on Monday afternoons from 3.30 to 4.30pm.

A big effort is needed from all parents to attend matches, help out at coaching and lend support to the hurlers at the club if we are to successfully establish hurling in South Belfast. The kids want to play.
