On thursday night the senior footballers drew with st galls in the all county league div 1 at musgrave. Both teams were down quite a few regulars due to the holidays
and the quality of football reflected this. An early set back for the hosts saw dara edwards withdrew with a nasty hand gash which required 4 stictchs. John Mc Guckian entered the fray and played well for the rest of the game.
Early scores lead to a promising start for the hosts as the under strength Milltown men were slow to find their feet.
With a slight breeze the Malone Road men went in 6 points to 4 up at the break.

The intorduction of sean kelly amd kevin niblock for the visitors boosted their finishing power and it took the introduction of aidan christie and conor taylor for the hosts to steady the ship. with ten minutes left st brigids were 10 points to 7 up and st galls rallied to come away with a deserved draw and if they had been more accuarate they would have secured two points instead of one. However a fine Mackle save was enough to secure the point for the hosts.
