The long trip to the Breffni county on Sunday proved a fruitful one as the biddies won by six points in the Ulster Senior Football League. A small squad of 17 made the long trip to Cavan town but the victory and experience gained against a quality outfit made it worthwhile. In a hard pressed encounter Naomh Brid were adrift by three points at the break but goals from James Loughrey and young Jack Dowling turned the tide. In a good team performance there were impressive displays by Peter Lundy, Niall MacDonald and Cormac McGrady while Andrew Morrow struck an excellent 45 showing his prowess from the dead ball.
No training tonight but keep checking the website for details. The Div 1 league fixtures are now published with St Johns the visitors to Musgrave in Round 1 on Wednesday, 13 April.
