The club hurlers who play under the St Agnes’ banner won the B Antrim under 16 championship final at a floodlit Casement Park on Tuesday night on a final score of 5-9 to 1-9. They add this to the divisional championship won in September.
Gerard Henvey saved a penalty and was excellent in nets. Garret Mulholland did a sterling job at centre half back while Conway and Leydon in midfield were full of running and were the engine house of a very slick operation. Indeed the full panel all played their part in a fantastic victory over Rasharkin under the guidance of coaches Leydon, Mulholland and McGranaghan who started last October with this bunch. The hours of hard toil finally bore fruit.
Jack O’Kane, Jack Hamill and Jonathan Dillon all played their part during the league and championship campaigns. Well done, all.
