Congratulations to these players who did themselves proud at the recent under 6 hurling tournament kindly and superbly organised by Eire Og hurling club on Saturday 5th June at Woodlands playing fields. St. Brigid’s Under 6s played three matches against Lamh Dhearg, St. Enda’s Glengormley and Eire Og and were undefeated in all games. This was a wonderful display by these young hurlers given that this was their first time playing outside having spent the winter learning the fundamentals inside and further, this was the first time they had represented St. Brigid’s in a hurling competition. I would like to thank the parents for the support and assistance on Saturday, not to mention each Tuesday. Under 6 hurling continues at the YMCA on Tuesdays from 6.00 to 6.30 or maybe a little bit longer if the kids and parents don’t mind.
