The U16 girls kick started their season in Section A with a 7-09 to 3-10 victory over a strong Naomh Pól team at Musgrave Park.
This was a particularly impressive result considering they went in at half time trailing by 6 points despite dominating most of the first period, but failed to convert their dominance on the scoreboard. A wave of early scores after the break placed Naomh Bríd in a commanding lead and although St Paul’s pressed hard in the final quarter the defence held firm.
This victory should give the girls the platform to build upon for the rest of the season in a very competitive U16 league. #AntrimLGFA
