It’s been a long time coming, but after being mentioned in a fairly high percentage of ‘Minute Withs’ as the club’s ‘unsung hero’, we’re delighted that Anthony Carleton has (somehow!) found time to answer our quickfire queries…

3. Playing position/role in club? Coach and general volunteer
4. Favourite film? Star Wars – A new hope
5. Favourite song? Alternative Ulster – SLF or in the ghetto- Elvis
6. Favourite food/meal? Steak with a good dose of blood showing!
7. Favourite holiday destination? Quite fond of the Algarve but anywhere with a beach and a blazing sun.
8. Favourite pitch to play on. Musgrave without doubt.
9. Favourite club memory? Winning first club Antrim Feile with U14 Girls, 2010.

10. Worst club memory?– Sorry don’t save any bad memories just the good ones..
11. Unsung club hero: Pamela – what she puts up with …when I am at home but mostly when I am not there.

13. Best match you were involved in.St Pauls v C’Dall – Div 1 hurling league.
14. Favourite quote? ‘We are going ok but,but,but,but….’
15. Best advice ever received? If it keeps you awake at night, it’s probably the wrong thing to do.
16. What other club do you like to see do well other than St Brigid’s? St Pauls – played there for 25 years.
17. Favourite player growing up? Teddy McCarthy – Cork dual all star.
18. Best trainer on the team? Elaine,Clare,Mary and Fran are well up there.
19. Worst trainer on the team? I will have to check the stats for that one.
20. Up and coming player to watch? Well keep an eye out for my Children.
21. Favourite thing about the GAA? It’s not just about playing games, it’s helping your community.
22. Where would you like to see St Brigid’s in ten years time? Winning Antrim Sen champ – Ladies and Men, winning underage Hurling and Camogie titles with club fully embedded in local community.
