There are two indoor 40×20 handball courts in Queens PEC. They have been in continuous use since 1971. We have been approached by Queens Handball Club to explore possible interest in playing handball among our members with particular emphasis on our juveniles. Access to the PEC will be facilitated through the good offices of Queens GAA Academy and coaching and competition will be arranged. Handball is a non-contact sport, male and female players can compete equally, players wear gloves and eye protection and the junior ball is kind to hands. Games are played as singles or doubles. Antrim has a great record of success in the sport in recent years. It is the one truly international GAA sport and Irish players are dominant internationally.
Anyone interested should contact Frank MacElhatton on fmacelhatton@gmail.com or 07776136827. If there is sufficient interest, we will organise playing times.
