Most Antrim Gaels will be familiar with the story of Anto Finnegan, the former Antrim senior football captain who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2012 and went on to set up his own charity, deterMND, which has gone on to raise thousands in support of those battling the disease.
On Sunday 23rd September, there will be a 5K Fun Run/Walk for anyone and everyone in aid of deterMND.
The registration fee is £10.00 per runner with a discounted fee of £5.00 for children under 16. All monies raised will go directly to the charity and runners are encouraged to seek sponsorship. Registration can be done online (click here) or at the O’Neills sportswear shop in the Kennedy Centre, this Saturday 4th from 11am.
The Devenish Complex in Belfast has kindly offered a free burger for all participants and put on a Family Fun Day after the race – so whether it’s a team building day or family day out, the event will provide quality entertainment for everyone. And all for a very worthy cause.
