For the first time Naomh Bríd entered the BCSDN 9-a-side U16 Winter League at the Cliftonville 3G pitch. Our tournament started with 12 players and ended with 16 with three girls taking up gaelic football for the first time, so things are looking up!!
The girls were much stronger than Ballymena in the semi final and were on top at half time in the final of the Shield against Glenavy, but unfortunately they ran out of steam to lose by 2 points at the final whistle.
Well done to all the girls over the past number of weeks and the standard of play has improved week on week. Many thanks to Emma, Seamy and Johnny from BCSDN, and all the young whistlers for an excellent and enjoyable tournament.
