St Brigids GAC is intending to form a Cultural sub-committee with a view to further promote and develop the Irish Culture of music, dance, singing and language for the members and players at our club. If anyone is interested in starting up an instrument, here is some information on classes provided by ‘Belfast Trad’, who operate within the parish:
Beginner Tin Whistle class, Mondays 6-7pm at Crescent Arts Centre, 2-4 University Road., Age 6 to 12 years old. Term duration 10 weeks. Tutor: Sinead Leyden.
Youth Intermediate Whistle class will be held 8-9pm on Mondays at Ulster College of Music, 13 Windsor Avenue. Tutor: Sinead Leyden.
Youth Intermediate Fiddle classes will be held 6.30 to 7.30pm on Thursdays at Ulster College of Music, 13 Windsor Avenue. Tutor: Melanie Houton.
