The Naomh Brid U16 boys produced a top class performance yesterday to capture the U16 South Antrim Championship title against Lámh Dhearg, at St Pauls.
A blistering first half performance performance by the lads, gave them a 3-8 to 0-3 lead at the break playing “down the hill”.
As expected Lamh Dhearg came out in the second half with all out attack in an attempt to get back into the game. Their efforts were rewarded with two early goals, which changed the game completely and gave the Hannahstown lads renewed hope.
However Bradley’s lads (Joe being on Sunday Game duty), settled and played some composed football to see out the game.
Final Score 3-14 to 2-7
A great display of attaching football from both sides, played in the right spirit. Credit to both sides and the their mentors.
St Brigids progress to the All County final in September.
