Are you aged between 14-24 years and looking to stand out from the crowd?
St. Brigid’s would like to encourage all young members 14-24 to think about joining the following volunteer programme:
The GoldMark programme is led by ‘Volunteer Now’ and in partnership with Ulster GAA. It is aimed at promoting and recognising sports volunteering for people aged 14 to 24 years old.
GoldMark is a simple programme which requires young volunteers to keep a Volunteer Record that is signed off by a club coordinator and Ulster GAA coordinator. GoldMark has proved hugely successfully to previous and current participants in helping with, for example, CVs/job applications/UCAS forms, making a positive impact in the community, impressing potential employers, awareness of transferable skills, the development of learning and skills and in turn receiving recognition for their valuable contribution – it is also great fun and you make lots of new friends along the way!
Young sports volunteers are awarded for 50 hours, 100 hours and 200 hours of volunteering.
The 200 hours award is an award of excellence signed off by the Minister of Education.
The club is looking for volunteers to work with our underage and juvenile teams, in football, hurling and camogie in partnership with ‘Volunteer Now’.
