Some great football on display today at the Whiterock Leisure Centre as St Brigids players represented two different schools at the Cumann na mBunscol semi finals today.

The St Brides girls team was up first, and in a thrilling game where the sides exchanged the lead a number of times. The Derryvolgie girls unfortunately lost by the minimum, despite a very spirited performance from all the ladies.

The boys semi final was up next, St Brides PS verses St Annes PS, in this game the club had players representing both sides. The standard of football in this game from both sides was outstanding, and some of the long range scores were a sight to behold.
St Brides’ strong first half, meant St Annes had a mountain to climb in the second. The Finaghy lads brought game to the Malone boys after the break, however a late surge from the lads in blue meant St Brides won through in the end.

St Brides through to the final for the 5th year in a row.
