Our Senior Ladies look to repeat their recent hard fought win over St Ergnatt’s, Moneyglass as they again take on the country girls this Sunday in the Antrim Intermediate Final at Sarsfield’s. Throw in is at 1.30pm.

The battle of experience versus youth should be fascinating as many of our squad are seasoned players who starred in their last big intermediate championship win in 2012 and will be up against a young and creative Moneyglass who pushed us hard in last week’s first semi-final and earned their rematch with a convincing win over St John’s last night.

Senior Coach Barry Mulligan is focussed on developing a style of play which balances security in the backline with pace through the middle and finishing up front. There are some young faces also breaking into the ranks and looking to make their mark on the game and secure their first senior medals. Wet evenings have not deterred the girls from going through their training paces and working hard, and if they can bring this commitment and work rate to a peak on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm in Sarsfield’s, they will be a force to be reckoned with for the visitors from Moneyglass.

Let’s get a big crowd out and give them all the support we can on Sunday and maybe, just maybe, we can add a championship trophy to our cabinet, where the senior mens’ Division 2 silverware will be resting this year!
