North Antrim Blitz

Brid Og’s U10’s were invited to field in an North Antrim Blitz hosted by Cushendun. Unfortunately the rain came down constantly but this didn’t dampened the enthusiasm of all the hurlers on show
During the blitz we played Glenravel, Glenarm, Saint Enda’s and second teams from Cushendall, Dunloy , Oisin’s as well as our hosts under the combined name of Naomh Padraig. All the games were contested brilliantly with all the skills of hurling being displayed on the pitches. The Brid Og team played some delightful hurling and there was some great link up play from backs through mid to the forward lines and this resulted in some excellent scores. Well done to all the players who ended the morning unbeaten.

Finally well done to our young hurlers who are developing into an excellent team. Special mention for Owen who took a knock to the arm during one of the early games and had to retire from playing.
