The reserves set the standard on Wednesday night beating Gort emphatically 4.11 – 1.11. Great result as Gort reserves would be one of the strongest in the division having tanked us earlier in the season at Musgrave and twice last year. Goals from Conor O Doc, Michael Laverty and 1.05 from Chris McCann put the nail in the coffin. Great to see Rory Flanagan back in action and county minor Conor King making his senior debut.
Seniors followed suit winning 3.16 – 2.13. Points from Lundy, the 2 McGradys, Ward, Dowling, Sinnot, O Hagan and McMahon and a goal from Clarke in the first 5 minutes and 2 from Dowling in the 2nd half pushed us over the line with another 2 vital points in search of promotion and more.
