The Under 14 Boys started their Feile Campaign at a cold and blustery Dub Playing fields this afternoon against Lámh Dhearg.
Despite the wind advantage in the first half it took the lads a while to get the game going, managing only a couple of scores in first ten minutes. They then stepped up a gear with a well taken goal which gave them more confidence and four more scores came in the last five minutes of the half.
Half time – Naomh Brid 2-5 Lámh Dhearg 0-0
The Second half called for a different game plan as the lads were now playing into the strong wind, which had been in their favour the first half. The boys pushed up and got some early scores, despite the best efforts of the Hannastown’s Keeper who made a couple of great saves. The Games finished with a flurry of goals for St Brigids and a brace of points for Lámh Dhearg to leave the final score Naomh Brid 5-8 Lámh Dhearg 0-2.
