Our fellow South Antrim club O Donovan Rossa GAC Belfast are calling on all Gaels, on Friday the 26th December (St Stephens day), to support a fun run up on the Divis mountain.
This year Rossa and Antrim lost a true Gael with the sudden passing of Ronan Boyle and with the permission of his family we are dedicating this run in his memory.
On the day of the run which is now in its 7th year we will be asking for a small donation, Ronan’s family have requested that all funds raised go to the Cormac McAnallen Trust, set up to Raise Awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. We would really appreciate it if you could make it on the day as you would be supporting
a very worthy cause. So why not make it a
family occasion and bring the kids (with their new bikes) and even the family pet? The run or walk is approx 5 km and will be starting from the cark park on top of Divis, across to the stone and back. We want to assemble at 10.45am and hope to start at 11am.
Last year we had a number of Gaels from other clubs who took part in this and it would be great again this year to have even more.
I hope you can take part in this fun run and would ask you to forward to as many people as possible.
Thanks in anticipation
