Falls Leisure centre, Belfast
15th February 2014
St Brigid’s were invited to the annual Pat Rice blitz at Falls Leisure Centre. This event is organised by Eire Og and is a great opportunity for our P3 and P2 hurlers to get games at this time of year.
We had a team of seven players each of whom played great hurling on the day. Player’s positions were rotated in each game, ensuring everyone got involved in lots of the play. Matches against Davitt’s A and B, St Enda’s A and B and the 2 teams from Eire Og produced 17 goals for and only 8 against. The boys displayed great skill and determination throughout, particularly in the first game against Davitts where they came back from two goals down to win by a goal. Well done to all the boys who played and mums and dads who supported.
Many thanks to Tara and Ciaran for inviting St Brigid’s to the blitz and to David for refereeing throughout.
