Our Under 14 Ladies have entered this year’s Winter League tournament commencing January 11th and running for four weeks. This will be an opportunity for our girls to get some early ‘game time’ ahead of the start of this year’s League and Championship competitions.

All our main rivals are entered and we can expect some real tussles over the duration of the tournament as all teams bid to get the first bit of silverware into their trophy cabinets. With cup, plate and shield up for grabs, hopes are high for early New Year success.

The 10-aside, roll on/roll off format and 8 minute matches means that every game can turn on a point or a goal! Points are available win, lose or draw making every performance important.

Our matches will be based at Shaftsbury/Lorag Recreational Centre 3G pitch and will be played from 3pm onwards, with the finals taking place on February 8th.

This is a great opportunity, particularly for our younger Under 14’s to get their first taste of competitive Under 14’s football but we encourage ALL our eligible ladies to be available as we look to open 2014 on a high. We want to surpass last year’s amazing success!

We hope to get a short training session organised for Friday 10th, ahead of Saturday, details to follow by text.

Can all parents and players note that mouth guards for ladies are now compulsory as of January 1st for all training and matches. No mouth guard, no play, no exceptions! Good Luck Ladies!
