The under 8 hurlers have worked hard to improve their skills during the indoor training in St Brigid’s hall on Saturday afternoons during January, February and March. In addition, the players have participated in Co Down Indoor Go games competitions in Downpatrick and Bangor in January and February, playing matches against Eire Og, St Paul’s Holywood, All Saints, Ballymena and St John’s Belfast.
The group have also competed in the Pat Rice tournament at Falls leisure Centre on 2nd March, playing against St Paul’s, St Endas’s and Glenavy.
On 30th March the boys joined with Eire Og to compete at the Glenavy blitz.
On 18th May the boys played against Glenavy, McDermotts and Ardoyne in the South Antrim blitz at Glenavy, winning 2 matches and drawing one.

Under 10
The under 10 group competed in the Brid Og colours in the Co Down Indoor league, the North Antrim Indoor league, the Ulster GAA u10 games at Magherafelt and the Glenavy blitz during January , February and March.
The indoor leagues are played under GoGames rules and the boys have played against Ballella, Ballygalget , Ballymena, Ballyvarley, Bredagh, Burt, Craobh Rua Camlough, Dunloy, Hannahstown, Keady, Lagharna Og, Loughgiel Shamrocks, Newry Shamrocks, Portaferry. Rasharkin, Rossa, Sean Tracey’s Lurgan, Slaughtneil, St Enda’s, St Galls, St John’s, St Paul’s Belfast, St Paul’s Holywood and Warrenpoint
The group played in the final of their section of the N Antrim league, narrowly defeated by Slaughtneil and won the shield at the Glenavy blitz.
On 11th May the boys competed in the Pat Sheehan tournament at St Galls. After matches against Gort Na Mona, Rossa and Ballycastle they were entered in the shield competition, defeating Keady in the quarter final before losing narrowly to eventual winners Ballygalget in the semi final.
The team also competed in the P5/P6 games organised by Belfast City Council at Falls Park on Sunday mornings during April, May and June. They have played against Bredagh, St John’s Glenavy, Sarsfields, St Paul’s, Gort na Mona, O’Donnell’s, Ardoyne, St Enda’s, Rossa, St Agnes and St Galls, winning 19 and losing 7 of their matches .

Thanks to all the organisers for the games these include David McGowan and Ciaran Grant (Pat Rice), Owen Elliot(North Antrim), Micky McCullough (County Down), Tom McCann(SW. Antrim), Kieran Megraw (South Antrim), Kevin Kelly (Ulster), Tommy Rocks and Karl Stewart (Belfast City Council) . Finally a special word of thanks to the parents for their dedication in getting their kids to many venues throughout Belfast, Co Antrim and beyond. Also, many thanks to our players who hurled brilliantly, achieving some notable results over some very distinguished hurling clubs, while still playing each game in a very sporting manner.
The U12 and U14 all county leagues are now in full swing on Tuesday and Saturday evenings. Training continues for u8 and u10 players at Musgrave on Thursday (6.45 to 7.45pm) and Saturday (2.00 to 3.15pm) with plenty of matches to come in the next few months.
