St Brigid’s U10 girls hosted their first Blitz of the year at Musgrave on Saturday 9th June 2013. Three clubs joined us for the Blitz – St Galls, St Pauls and St Johns. The glorious weather made for perfect playing conditions.
The girls got off to a fine start in their first match against St Galls and showed great skill in tackling and breaking away from their opponents. The scores quickly followed producing a satisfying win. This great playing continuing in the second match against St Pauls with fine points from a number of players on the team. However, by the third match against St Johns, our girls were suffering a bit from the heat and found the match more difficult in the first half. However their performance improved in the second half with superb marking skills. The Blitz closed off with all players having greatly enjoyed the event.
