SOUTH ANTRIM LEAGUE – DIVISION ONE

O’DONOVAN ROSSA .V. ST BRIGID’S
The boys Under 12 Division One Footballers played their fourth match of the current league campaign on Friday 17 May 2013. Rossa’s pitch was deemed unplayable and the match was moved to Musgrave where the training pitch had held up well despite the recent heavy rainfall.
The Rossa team was a relatively young team but started extremely well scoring a very early goal. St Brigid’s clawed their way back into the match with a number of well taken points. In the latter stages of the first half the St Brigid’s lads experience began to tell with the first half ending on a score line of 4-12 St Brigids 1-1 Rossa.
The second half saw Rossa held scoreless despite some very determined football. In particular, the battle between Rossa’s Charlie and St Brigid’s Callum Webb was a great display of entertaining football. Ultimately, St Brigid’s ran out winners on a score line of 7-20 to 1-2.
