Naomh Brid were reeled in by Ahoghill in injury time at a rainswept Casement Park on Friday night but at least will live to fight another day. A Mickey Ward goal in the first half had given the southsiders an early advantage but a questionable penalty award just before half-time ensured Ahoghill went in level at the break. Blaney’s men forged ahead again in the second period and when they opened up a three point lead late on in a low-scoring affair, the signs were good. But Ahoghill gamely stuck at their task and two points in injury time bought them a deserved replay, with a likely south west venue giving them an edge.
