Greg Blaney’s crew played a challenge game against Moneyglass on Wednesday night last, which provided an opportunity for one or two of the Div 3 team to impress.
Conor Mackle duly did, finishing with a belter to the top corner after two minutes.
Not long after, Niall George netted with aplomb as well.

Micky Donnelly bossed the half back line, Niall Cunningham led from centre half forward and senior newcomers Ryan Mackle, Cathal Conway, Ciaran Connolly and Ciaran O’Hare and sub Joe Begley all played their part in a good performance from the Malone Road boys. The five point half time lead was overturned but the seven subs all got valuable game time and first team experience, although the changes affected the rhythm of the blues.
