St Brigid’s Reserves managed to field a strong enough team in the South Antrim Football Championship last night despite a number of late call-offs. However, they still fell to a 6 point defeat at the hands of McDermott’s, who had previously beaten them by 5 in the league.
The damage was done in the first half, with three sloppy goals leading to a 12 point deficit, which proved too big an obstacle to come back from. The second half saw a much improved performance, however, with the lads pulling back two goals and a number of well taken points in a good display. Jack Dowling, Conor McGranaghan and Ciaran O’Hare were the key players in this revival, all of whom got on the scoresheet.
