Dear Parents,
You may be aware that the U8s and U10s have been entered into a Mini Aldergrove League this year.  There will be 10 league based matches between now and the end of August starting with an away match this Sunday 1/04/2012 at St Enda’s.  The league will be followed by a tournament at the St James club (league organisers) in Crumlin in early September.  We would very much welcome your support of the kids during the league matches and at this tournament.
There are some key points we would like to draw to your attention as follows:
For kids to participate in any match they need to be registered with the club.  If you have not registered your child we would kindly ask that you contact us or speak to any of the coaches to get this processed.
The league games will be played within the Go Games rules but during the league there will be no winners or losers i.e. no points awarded or tracked.  The emphasis here is getting the kids playing football.  The tournament will be scored and there will be a winner.
Each club will play two teams at each age level for each fixture.  Teams will be referred to as Ulster and Munster (U8) plus Leinster and Connaught (U10).
The games are only 9 aside as per the rules which leaves St Brigids with an issue as we have on average 35 plus attending Fun Sunday training at U10 level.  As such you will appreciate that we will not be able to invite all boys for all games.  We will however endeavour to organise additional games with other clubs to ensure that all the boys are playing regular games.
For this Sunday we would like to invite all kids to participate, as St Enda’s are able to match our numbers with 3 matches.  We require those kids able to attend this Sunday to be at St Enda’s Hightown Road, Glengormley for 10:40 sharp.  The boys will need club jersey, gloves and a drink.
Please can you confirm your son’s attendance as soon as possible so that we can get the various teams organised.  Replies to M.Megarity@btinternet.com
