Well done to our senior reserves who claimed their first points of the league campaign at Musgrave on Sunday afternoon with with a deserved 3 point win over Glenavy. Full time: Naomh Brid 0-8 Glenavy 0-5
Ronan Mackle in nets showed his father how the job should be done with some fine handling and some well placed kickouts. Big brother Ciaran was solid at corner back and the improving Peter Lundy and Andy Duffy bossed the half back line. Score were hard to come by, but Brendan McDonald led the line and created opportunities from play and placed balls for Lundy to convert. This was a low scoring game which was 3 points all at the break and it took a strong last 15 from the fitter home side to pull ahead. Well done in getting off the mark despite two missed penalties (thanks,Martin and Jack) and Martin Ramsay who had a good hour in the blue shirt also decided to kick the ball against the cross bar at every available opportunity. Good to register two league points for Benny O’Neill’s men all the same. Man of the match: Andy Duffy
