St Brigid’s GAC held their annual Primary School section presentation event on Sunday 12th Dec, to mark the end of another season of gaelic games in South Belfast.

This year due to the size of numbers, the club had to move the event to St Brides Hall to accommodate the growing size of this part of the club.

Guest speaker on the day was Down Senior player Danny Hughes, who in conversation with Thomas Kane, congratulated the children on their efforts during the year and offered some advice on how they all could become better players. The children were also were offered the opportunity to ask Danny questions about his playing career, his favourite matches and most difficult opponents.

Danny also presented every child at the event with a medal, and their eagerly awaited selection box.

The Fun Sunday training will now take a break until the end of January.
St Brigid’s would like to Danny Hughes for coming to speak to the children, and to thank all mentors, players, sponsors and anyone who helped with club in 2010 and wish them peaceful Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year.
