Another big week for the club beckons as we reach the business end of the season. First up on Wednesday the senior reserves travel to Milltown to face St Gall’s in the reserve championship semi-final. It’s a tall order against the west Belfast club but Benny O’Neil’s men are training hard and are well up for the challenge. Your support on the night would be very welcome. Throw in at Milltown is 7.00pm.

All roads lead to the resplendent Creggan complex this Sunday for Naomh Brid’s big showdown with Erin’s Own Cargin in the first of the Antrim senior football championship semi-finals that day. The star-studded Cargin outfit, perennial league winners, will go in as hot favourites as they aim to lift the title they last claimed in 2006. With the likes of Justin Crozier, Tomas and Michael McCann, Tony Scullion and Gerard O’Boyle in their ranks, they have a wealth of experience and talent. Naomh Brid must cope without the services of O’Hagan and McLaughlin but have an eager and determined squad ready to step up to the plate and make history by reaching the club’s first ever senior football final. They will take heart from their two league outings against the lough shore men this year, a home draw and narrow away defeat, where there were salutary lessons learned. The squad has trained very hard for this match and competition, so a sizeable and vocal support from the parish would be much appreciated on the day. You may well make the difference in what promises to be a tight affair!

Throw in at Creggan is 3.00pm. See you there.
