St Brigid’s ladies took the bull by the horns tonight at half time at St Paul’s. 6 down at the break they put in a first class second half performance and won by 5. The leadership of Campbell and Kirk came to the fore and the scoring exploits of Finnegan and Maontague made sure it was 2 finals in a row.
St Ergnatt’s keeper was superb and despite being denied at least six goal chances two came in the second half.
The teamwork and point taking was superb and never has a Biddies team demonstrated so well that fisted points have the same value as long range booted efforts as they did tonight.
Excellence across the pitch but the backline of Smart, Donnelly, McMullan, Montague, McKenna, Mc Guckian, McKeogh, McCann, Campbell, Kirk, Mc Grath, McLister, MacAuley, Loughran( you get the idea) were all excellent!!
