Creggan Kickhams did us a big favour today with a three point home win against St Paul’s in what sounds like a typically rumbunctious do-or-die relegation battle. Three Shaws Rd men saw red as they remain locked on 12 points with a visit to Cargin their last hurrah. Naomh Brid will now retain their premier status with a win from either of their two remaining matches against Ahoghill or St John’s. Indeed, should St Paul’s lose their last match, we shoud be safe regardless. The coming week is a massive one for the club starting on Sunday at Corrigan against Roger Casements Portglenone, who despite their league form will carry their usual championship threat that has led them to two recent finals. Naomh Brid will use the anguish of last year’s late semi-final collapse as a mighty incentive to progress against the Bannsiders, but they need to be ruthless this time. On the followng Wednesday, it’s a tricky trip to Ahoghill to secure the win that will ensure we stay where we belong in the top flight. Naomh Brid abu!
