Lottery Update – April 2010
We are now just more than half way through the “‘lottery year” with most of the current 150 members joining in November 2009 and the remaining continuing into February 2010.
You will be aware that the rules of the scheme stated that any winnings would be distributed if these reached the sum of £5,000 or a period of 3 months passed from since the scheme inception or previous distribution.
The current position is that an amount of £1,229 has been won since November and while the 3 month time period has passed it is felt that the effort at this time to distribute a small amount per person would be significant while the winnings per person would not be material.
The committee has therefore decided at this time not to distribute anything and to review the position at the end of May and provide further updates at that time. If you have any queries in relation to this decision then please contact Marc Murphy, Fund Raising Officer via the club website.
Further to the above, in order to reward those who have joined the lottery scheme, the committee has decided to hold a monthly draw commencing in May for a £50 prize drawn from among the 150 current members. This money will be allocated from club funds and not from lottery winnings
