St.Brigid’s U14 girls had a superb win against Bredagh on Tuesday 19th May. They played hard to get what they wanted and came away with the result. With Niamh Dunford and Bronagh King in midfield every ball was a St Brigid’s ball and with Julia Boyle and Lara Heaney in half back the defence was unbeatable. Between the forwards there were good scores from Hannah Ferrin, Aoife Marken, Julie Curran and Abi Carleton.

The second half began with Bredagh stepping up their game, only to be met by St Brigid’s girls ready for them. Despite the rain, the second half saw goals and points from Niamh Webb, Laura Smart and Niamh Clarke. With the help of Cliodhna McGrady, Róisín O’Hare, Maggie Webb and Helen Bogue the scores kept on coming and St Brigid’s finished it off. The match ended in a victory for St Brigid’s and well deserved congratulations for the girls.
