Naomh Brid bowed out of the U21 Football Championship on Monday evening going down by a single point at Aldergrove. Best for the losers on the night were Thomas McGeough, Mark and Andrew Sweeney, and Chris Donnelly.This was a spirited performance against a well drilled home side played under very damp underfoot conditions. The game was a keenly contested one and was always in the balance with a last minute goal chance going agonisingly over the bar from the boot of Chris Quinn. However, if the players can bring the never-say-die approach to their respective minor and adult teams the future of the Malone club will be well served.
