At Sarsfields pitch on Sunday morning last the under 14’s, operating at below par,
were beaten by a last minute goal to lose to eventual winners Glenavy in the semi-final of the tournament. In truth the villagers were the better team on the day and deserved their win. Naomh Brid were a little complacent after beating Glenavy well in a full sized challenge game.
A second game against hosts Sarsfield allowed all 18 players to get a good spell of football.
Some good displays from Cahill, Campbell, Keane, goalkeeper Leonard and newcomer Pearse McCormick who has returned from Australia to live in the area.
The under 14 panel will take a break until August and then resume plans for the championship.
