The U12s registered a double over St Gall’s in Div 1 with a three point win at Harlequins on Friday evening. However, this was a somewhat lacklustre display from an admittedly under-strength team, with the P7’s Share Centre exploits also taking its toll. Goals from Jack O’Kane and Rory Smith established a handy six point lead at the interval, but the Malone boys could add just a solitary point from Philip O’Sullivan in the second half to leave them hanging on at the finish. Indeed, it could have been worse had it not been for a fine penalty save late in the game by Ruari McAllister. Best for the winners were Eoin Maguire in defence, Conor King in midfield and Patrick Herity in a new attacking role.
