It’s a bit unorthodox but the draw for this year’s O’Donnell Cup is as follows:

1/4 Finals

(A) Davitt’s v St John’s
(B) St Gall’s v Div 2 (2nd place)*
(C) Rossa v Div 2 (3rd place)*
(D) Div 2 (1st place)* v St Brigid’s

* after the first three rounds of Div 2 matches

1/2 Finals

Winners (A) v Winners (B)
Winners (C) v Winners (D)

On the face of it this is a decent draw for St Brigid’s. From Div 2 we will likely face either Lamh Dhearg or Gort Na Mona, neither of which will be easy (as we know from the recent defeat to the former). However, if that hurdle can be negotiated, there is a reasonable path to the O’Donnell Cup final. St Enda’s are strangely absent, with talk that they may take part in the South West Antrim Championship.

Our 1/4 final will be an away match, scheduled for Friday, 9 May.
