St Brigid’s seconds posted their second big win in 4 days with a comprehensive victory over Antrim. Antrim to their credit showed a big improvement over their earlier performance against Naomh Brid this year.
Two first half goals from John Finnegan along with a goal and two points from the excellent Jimmy King helped the Malone men to a strong first half lead.
Points from Rory Taylor, Brian Loughran and Joe McKeever were just reward for the possession the blues had.
Joe Marley and Paul O’Hara built a strong platform in the middle whilst the two youngsters, Michael Malone and Ciaran Mackle were solid at the back. Old hand Conor McHendry held the ship steady at centre back.

Playing into the strong breeze the introduction of Smith and Mullan certainly brought more strength to the home team. Rory Taylor opened the scoring and a second goal from King and a penalty conversion from Taylor put the game beyond Antrim’s reach.
