The Naomh Brid U12s stepped up their preparation for the Championship with two games on Friday evening: the A squad recorded a solid away victory over St Paul’s on a margin of 5-5 to 1-1 while the younger B squad battled bravely before going down by four points to Lamh Dhearg in an evenly contested match that could have gone either way. These outings followed on from a very useful match against an excellent Watty Graham’s Glen from south Derry last Sunday, which will provide valuable experience for the challenges that lie ahead. Further challenge matches have been arranged at home to near neighbours Bredagh and away to south Derry side Slaughtneil.

Apart from the joys of refereeing itself, there are somtimes unexpected advantages such as gaining a first-hand insight into the opposition that awaits in the Championship – Next week St Brigid’s will face St Teresa’s away in the 1st Rd of the Championship. Players to assemble at St Teresa’a pitch, Glen Rd at 6.00pm sharp. Squad will be posted shortly on website.

Training as usual Sundays at 10.30am. As always, full turnout expected.
