Prior to Sunday’s senior contest, the reserves took on Gort na Mona’s second string at Boucher in an entertaining contest.
Two Liam Murray points, scored in a hurry, as he was rushing off to become a father, and a Mel MacSherry free were the only scores registered for St Brigids in the first half. Meanwhile Gort notched up five points, a string of wides and managed to squeeze a long distance effort between the cross bar and the keeper’s hands. Where would we be without our goalies to entertain us on a Sunday!

The second half only yielded four more points, three from MacSherry of which two were frees and a good effort from Chris Quinn.

Eunan Conway gave good instructions from half back, while Richard Walsh, Brian Loughran and former senior star Paul O’Hara all impressed. This Sunday sees league action begin with a game at “home” to St Endas at 12 noon.
