The seniors continued their 2006 campaign preparation with a challenge match against Rossa at Rossa Park on Sunday February 5th.
While there were a few noteworthy performances from some debutants, it was the old hands that caught the headlines. With John Mackle pulling up lame after one kick out and Richard Smyth somehow managing to score a goal, 2006 promises to be another eventful year for the deadly duo. Other than a Duncan MacAuley free, the rest of the scores came from the boot of Joe Brolly while various opinions of the referee, the opponents and his team mates came from his mouth. Eunan Conway entered the fray at half time to show the manager that he hasn’t gone away you know. His driving runs out of defence were a sight to behold. For a few others though, it would appear that the only driving done was to the match… fitness tests beckon!
