On Sunday 20 February the Seniors travelled to Kilrea for a challenge against the Derry Division 1 team.
The difference in class was evident with the home side running out comfortable winners. That said, the game marked the long awaited debut for Joe Brolly in a St Brigids jersey. The former Derry star showed he has not lost it (or at least all of it) scoring 1 – 4 of the visitors’ total, the other points coming from Eoin Murphy and the impressive James Loughrey.
Other notable debuts came from Conor Mullan and Eoin Murphy.
Final Score: Kilrea 5 – 10 St Brigids 1 – 6
This Sunday 27 February there will be challenge games for BOTH Division 3 AND 4 teams at Cherryvale versus Bredagh. Throw in times 12 noon and 1.30pm respectively.
