The G4M&O squad may be heading down to Portmarnock for the All-Ireland blitz on Saturday, but Fran Lloyd (third from back left) was able to sneak away from Anthony Carleton’s intensive training camp and answer some of our rapid queries in today’s ‘A Minute With’…

2. Age? Probably too old to play gaelic
3. Playing position/role in club? Defence or midfield. In G4M&Os positions are flexible or maybe we’re all multi talented
4. Favourite film? Top Gun
5. Favourite song? Dancing Queen by ABBA
6. Favourite food/meal? Thai
7. Favourite holiday destination? Safari in South Africa
8. Favourite pitch to play on? Any pitch without potholes
9. Favourite club memory? Relaxing in glorious sunshine in Musgrave post the annual G4M&Os blitz 2017
10. Worst club memory? Losing to Ardboe in Féile 2018
11. Unsung club hero? Definitely our leader Anthony Carleton -he’s around the club so often he might as well have a bed there & he exhibits the utmost patience with the G4M&Os
12. Best player played with? Ciara McCann – not just for her talent
but for the way she encourages those less skilled than herself!
13. Best match you were involved in? Portmarnock G4M&Os blitz 2016
14. Favourite quote? Frankly my dear I don’t give a damn
15. Best advice ever received? Don’t meet trouble half way
16. What other club do you like to see do well other than St Brigid’s? Bellaghy (where I grew up)
17. Favourite player growing up? Anthony Tohill
18. Best trainer on the team? Elaine O’Neill (never misses a training session)
19. Worst trainer on the team? Anthony – sure what does he know about Ladies football😂😂
20. Up and coming player to watch? In G4M&Os-Clare Flanagan
21. Favourite thing about the GAA? Without hesitation it’s the community spirit. True gaels are with you in the good times but much more importantly they’re always there in the bad times.
22. Where would you like to see St Brigid’s in ten years time? I’d love our own club rooms for social events… ..and to use those to showcase all the silverware our young players will win
