Hurl with Me Programme
St. Brigid’s have been successful in their 2018 bid to host the programme ‘Hurl with Me’ as the Club fought off many other Clubs around Ireland to get a specialised coaching to work with parents of our U8 and U10 Camógs. The aim of the programme is to give parents the opportunity to learn the basic skills of the game in a fun and supportive environment. Skills can then be practiced at home with their child – increasing physical activity levels for both parent/guardian and child. This is all in the spirit of fun and the children get a great kick out of their parents putting the skills into practice. There were a number of parents at HQ this evening and for some it was the first time they held a hurl, and certainly did not disappoint. Any parents of our U8/U10 girls who are interested in coming along on Monday at HQ @ 6:30pm for the next four weeks, you are more than welcome.
