Minor Ladies Participate In Inaugural Sarsfields Tournament While County Stars Shine v Tyrone

On Saturday 24th March the St Brigid’s minor ladies took part in the inaugural Sarsfields blitz.

Well done to all nine girls who played; it was a very encouraging start to the year. It wasn’t easy playing four matches in the heat without subs — but you all dug deep and gave 100% effort! Special mention to Amy, Orlaith & Theresa from the u16s.

A big thank you to all at Sarsfields for organising a fantastic day and congratulations to both Gort na Mona and Moneyglass on winning both sides of the tournament. We look forward to meeting you again this season.

Meanwhile, some of our other Minor Ladies helped Antrim to an impressive 6-15 v 2-7 win away to Tyrone on Sunday in a sunny Augher. Some serious football played at break neck pace sets Antrim up nicely for our home game against Donegal in 2 weeks’ time as we aim for an Ulster semi-final spot!
