Getting the Shot Away

SWATRAGH P6 TOURNAMENT

This Saturday, 8th July we have an invite to play in a P6 tournament at Michael Davitts GAC, Swatragh. We are allowed 2 teams in this tournament, with one team playing in the Cup and one in the Shield competition. Therefore, in addition to the usual P6/5s would have been playing in the Go games, we would like P4s to come as well – especially those that played in the U9 Bredagh tournament, as we would expect the shield to be played between teams around that age.

If anyone hasn’t yet confirmed that they want to play, just reply to ciaran@thegrant.org.uk. Lifts will be available. The tournament starts at 10.15am, so we would be meeting at Musgrave before 9am.

Swatragh pitch is fairly easy to find. To get to Swatragh, continue straight on after the M2 towards Derry. Turn right at the first sign for Maghera, Take a left at the end of that road (about 1 mile). Continue into the town and at the main lights turn right towards Coleraine (Walsh’s hotel is on the right at the corner. Swatragh is about 4 miles from Maghera. Drive straight through the village towards Garvagh/Coleraine and a couple of hundred yards at the other side of the village, the grounds are on the right.
