Belfast Community Sports Development Network (BCSDN) is the main community sports development organisation in Belfast and has successfully been delivering physical activity programmes for the past ten years. BCSDN offers bespoke packages to organisations incorporating, amongst other things, coaching and development; and, youth up-skilling.
St Brigid’s GAC, in conjunction with BCSDN is delighted to offer a bespoke Young Coaching/Up-skilling Programme for girls aged 16+ in the week beginning Monday 21st August 2017. This one week course will add to the girls’ CVs and personal statements for university. Successful completion of the programme will give the following three qualifications:
- GAA Foundation Award coaching
- Sports Leaders UK award
- Heartstart qualification.
The programme workshops will be held in St Bride’s Hall, Derryvolgie Avenue, and on location at Belfast Activity Centre, Barnett Demesne, from 10am to 3pm for up to 5 days. The cost of the programme is currently £135 per person, but the Club is actively seeking sponsorship to defray a portion of the cost.
This programme has been specifically designed to suit the needs of the girls aged 16+ in St Brigid’s GAC and is a great opportunity to attain an accredited coaching qualification. All eligible club members (playing and non-playing) are encouraged to register as soon as possible as places are limited.
To reserve a place on the programme please contact Una McGurk by June 30th, St Brigid’s GAC vice-secretary, on 07811255077.
